5 Star Cases is fully equipped to cater for the Military and Aerospace sectors with custom designed flight cases and weatherproof IP67 cases.

High quality materials and hardware from industry leading manufacturer Penn Elcom are always used throughout construction, which ensures peace of mind in hostile environments. 5 Star ‘Industrial’ specification flightcases are to IP54 as standard, with a dust and weatherproof mating profile between lid and base. Many external finishes can be selected, including high pressure laminate (HPL), diamond board and stucco aluminium. A polypropylene panel can be selected in place of the traditional plywood for a lightweight alternative.

Foam inserts also play a major part of Military flightcase applications and our experience in the design and manufacture of these is key to any flight case project. A number of large format CNC routers are at the heart of 5 Star’s production facilities and these not only machine the flight case panels but also polyethylene foam inserts.

Anti-static Jiffycell™ foam is also available for use in electronics transportation. Specifications on the available foam types that we can supply are available upon request, by contacting our sales team.

Most military flight cases will of course be bespoke to individual requirements and that’s where 5 Star excel at providing a first class service on flight case design, manufacture and a turnkey solution.

Our IP67 or Peli™ ranges of cases are particular useful in military, aerospace and allied industries, due to their durability, lightweight and weatherproof characteristics.  A range of standard sizes are available but can all be customised with bespoke CNC-machined foam inserts.
